Orangeburg, South Carolina – On March 9, 2023, join SCVAN Legal Services and other community partners as we discuss ways to help identify and prevent child abuse. Training topics include: Introduction to SCVAN and our Services, Child Abuse Laws and You: Mandated Reporting, What is Human Trafficking?, Stalking and Harassment Myths Debunked, The Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences, and a Forum on Talking with Our Kids About Difficult Topics.
“I am pleased for SCVAN to offer this training to address misconceptions within our communities about crimes, victimization, and the availability of resources and support,” says Sarah Ford, Legal Director with SC Victim Assistance Network. “Help is out there. The more we connect, support, and train, the better outcomes we will see.”

Advocates will receive 4.25 VSP credits and Law Enforcement will receive 4.25 CE credits. Seating is limited.
